I want to go out and buy a adjustable bench set, the bar, weights, dumbbells, a adjustable thing to do crunches on, etc. I was looking at sports authority but did not like what they had. Where else can I buy this stuff for a moderate price?

As for lifting on low energy, you'll still be burning fat, but you may want to remember that it can be dangerous if you're using free weights, and pointless if you cant properly concentrate on the muscle.

for toned body, 5 to 8 lbs is pretty good, unless you're extra strong lol. legs are strong i think what you're doing is really good but then again it also depends on what machines you're using and which muscles you're working on. also, you need to do cardio exercise like aerobics running or biking to burn fats away so that you can see the toning of the muscles, for a tighter looking body.
